I think your blog is a great idea. I came home today to find one of your newsletters on my mailbox. I just moved in on Monday (3/27) and am adapting to my new enviromenment. A little something about myself, I am ORIGINALLY from Colorado Springs, CO but moved her to Texas from San Diego, which I truly call home. I moved here to Little Elm from Lewisville, where I've lived since I've been in Texas (since 2003). I am a full time financial counselor with HSBC North America and own my own literary buisness,(Literary Wonders!) and I am an author. I self published my 2nd novel in January and am looking to complete at least three products this year. I am divorced and have two teenagers who have recently decided that they now need some "daddy" time. Thats my little quaint life in a nutshell. I was interested to find out that Walmart is buildng a store on El Dorado and 423. I guess that means I no longer have to travel all the way down to Main and 121. I know there's another one here somewhere, but I just have to venture out and find different places. But hey, if they build it, I can do my grocery shopping, personal shopping, cross the street and do some home shopping at Lowes and then hop the street again and pick up my prescriptions at CVS. Oh yea and grab a bite to eat on the way out at KFC. What a lfie!. Thank you for welcoming me to your community, I know I will love iet here. By the way.... I was told trash day was Monday, and I made sure trash was out last night, but it was not picked up. Did I miss something?

Welcome to Arbor Creek. I know you're going to love it here.

Trash day (and recycle pickup) is Monday. Your trash must be to the alley the night before as they can pick up anywhere from first thing in the morning till late in the evening, although they usually get it before noon. If they did not pick up your trash I can only guess that your house is not yet on their list give CDW a call at 972-392-9300 and they can arrainge a "special" pickup for you so you won't have to wait until next monday.

Michael, Thanks for the welcome. And they finally DID pick it up around 5:30pm, and I realized that they only pick up the trash in trash cans and not surrounding bags and boxes. Makes it kind of hard for someone that JUST moved in. I'm sure I'll figure something out. Thanks for that into. Also, a little birdie told me that there are two firemen that lived down at the end of the street that do lawn work. I sure would love to have some contact info for those fellas. My yard is in desparate need of some work (especially the back) and I want to start getting ready for summer grilling. So if anyone has any contact info please let me know. Also this is a silly question, however, I am use to mostly metal mailboxes where you simply lift the red flag if you want the post man/woman to pick up your mail. How do I indicate to the postal person that I want my my mail picked up? Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

I am unaware of any firefighters living here in Arbor Creek at this time. I however reccomend using PALS whose phone number is 972-746-9888. I've used Chris at PALS for several years now and highly regard his service. Chris (one of the owners) is a Plano Firefighter by
day, so perhaps this is what you had heard about. He charges $25.00 per visit for corner properties and $20.00 for middle (last I heard). I only have to pay $10.00 as I do not have any grass in my backyard or on the aley side of the house.

As for your trash, CWD picks up Bulk items, defined as items that do not fit in the trash can or as in your case, multiple items, twice a month. Check with CWD for pickup dates as they have recently changed.
