Bay Ridge Sandwich Company

Last night my wife and I were swamped with meetings and work so we decided to have a bite to eat at the local Subway. To our surprise, we found, quite by accident, a lovely new sandwich shop in the new strip center located on the corner of Lobo Lane & Eldorado Parkway. The shop called, Bay Ridge Sandwich Company, is a, New York, styled delicatessen much like a real Brooklyn delicatessen where the concept of a “deli” was invented. They use only Boar’s Head Meat & Cheese products and artisan breads and offer a selection of Homemade Quiche, Salads and Desserts.

The food was fantastic, I had the Ruben sandwich and my wife had the Bensonhurst, a grilled mozzarella & tomato with basil pesto on sourdough bread served Panini style. We both ordered a bag of Herr’s potato chips some of the best chips on the planet. Our food was served hot and tasted fresh much to our mutual enjoyment. They even had an old favorite beverage of ours the famous New York Egg Cream (that contains no egg whatsoever but is chock full of chocolaty good taste).

Everything from the unusual ceiling fans to the deli meat and cheeses to the plate presentation was of the highest quality. The staff was so friendly one could believe that this was not our first visit but that we were old regulars. It’s typical in Texas to have a server never let your glass run empty but it’s the feeling that your hosts really care that you enjoy your meal that sets this place above the pack.

They offer free delivery with a minimum $15.00 order and they offer a Kids Eat Free Every Tuesday special as well as specials for the elderly. Check them out online at or give them a call at 469-362-9220 (tell them you heard about them at the Arbor Creek Blog).
