Comprehensive Planning

The Town Council is now planning for the future growth of Little Elm as they enter into contract with the firm of Dunkin, Sefko & Associates Inc. to prepare a Comprehensive Plan Update for a total cost of $130,000. This plan will help guide the town in improving the living experience for residents as well as maintaining the town's identity as a Lakeside Community.

A Comprehensive Plan Committee comprised of Counicl Members as well as Community Leaders along with the consulting firm will complete the plan in four stages the first of which is evaluation of what the town is currently and completion of a Vision Statement. This stage is expected to be completed in October. The remaining stages will be to develop a strategy for growth, land-use, transportation and livability and implementation and is planned for a December 2007 completion.
